Zashiki Warashi are ghostly spirits that are seen only by the children and the house’s owners it haunts. There are no known information about its appearance than they look like children (girl or boy) about 5-6 years old that has red blushing cheeks. They love sweet treats offered to them by the house owners.

They are said to bring good fortune and are considered to be guardians of the house they inhabit.

You will most probably have them in your home if you see traces of a children’s footprints.
