The death bringer! This Yokai chooses the time of your death. The king of the underworld is also a type of Shinigami. The Shinigami is similar to Morrígan of the Faye and the Grim Reaper in Western cultures.

Rokurokubi
Many stories surround this Yokai. A Rokurokubi appears as a normal looking women but when she falls asleep her neck stretches and her head goes around eating bugs and rodents, scaring people and evening biting people to death. When Yokai awakes, she has no memory of what her head did during the night.
Jorogumo
Be careful of women you meet near waterfalls. This Yokai is part women, part spider. She can shapeshift into beautiful women. In some stories she lives near a waterfall. She uses her webs to drag men into falls where she devours them.
Hannya
A women’s souls can be transformed in to a Hannya demon if the women falls into an obsessed state of jealousy. As she falls deeper, she feels more and more scorned by her lover. Then she falls into a deep state of sorrow, her soul becomes tormented and the demon immerges.
Hanako-san
In a school, on the third floor, in a girls bathroom, knock three times to summon Hanako-san. Then listen for “Yes, I am”. After being summoned Hanako-san will drag unexpecting victims into the toilet and down into the Yokai realm.
