Tenome have eyes on their hands instead of in their heads. There are several stories about these Yokai. One story says this creature was a blind man who was robbed and so desperately wanted see the robber that eyes grew on his hands and thus he became a Tenome. In another story a man ran into a Tenome in a graveyard and even though he ran away and sought shelter in a monastery, the Yokai found him and sucked out all of his inners leaving only the man’s skin.
